The truth is something we all want and something we all don’t want to hear. The power that is in the truth can surely make us free. However, because of mankind’s disobedience, the truth is the one thing that no one wants to deal with because truth is light. The Bible reminds us that Jesus is the light and the light shines in the darkness. And without Christ it would be easy to suppress truth or pretend that the truth is what we make it out to be. Because of Christ; He came into the world to bear witness about the light, that all might believe through Him.
In the beginning man was given the truth of what would happen if he disobeyed God and in the end, man will be held accountable for disobeying God’s warning so to give mankind a chance. There was a man named John who came to tell everyone about the light that when He arrived, every generation from from that day would believe that He (Jesus) is the true light sent into the darkness to which the darkness has not been able to overcome Him (Jesus).
The truth is we all have sinned and come short of His glory that is the glory of God. And through the gift of God we are justified by the grace of His Son whom when sin kidnapped mankind and his offspring it was Jesus Christ who saved mankind by paying the ransom through His blood which leads to our redemption.
Our God reminds us to speak the truth to one another and do not devise evil in your hearts against one another and to remember that the Lord hates a false oath. Now that you know the truth what will you do with this information? Jesus said, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth and the truth will set you free.
Are you a slave or are you free?
