THE DREAM

The Lord God spoke through the Prophet Joel when it was written by the Prophet that the Lord shall pour out His Spirit on all flesh. Remarking that sons and daughters will prophesy and old men will dream dreams and young men shall see visions. The Lord; the Creator of all living is a promise keeper and does not change has made this promise to all generations in the days of the Prophet Joel that He will be the God of His people and He alone will provide all the needs of His people.

A faithful servant of the Lord had a dream one night. The servant and his wife were at a dinner party where they enjoyed themselves with the host and the feast. As the party began to split into groups, the women and the men all separated from each other with the women remaining inside and the men going outside. The host of the dinner party lived in a spacious home with an enormous rooftop deck where all the men decided to gather.

The faithful servant remained behind and did not gather to be apart of the conversation with the other men that were taking place just a few feet from him. Instead he stood close too the retaining wall at the side of the roof admiring the stonework that was the protective barrier for those who occupied the rooftop deck. As the faithful servant stood there he heard a loud boom that he believed to be someone closing a door very hard.

The faithful servant asked the men standing nearby if they too had heard the loud noise also. Unfortunately none of the men had heard anything let alone a loud boom making the sound of a slammed door. And as the servant stood there trying to make sense of what he had just heard, he looked up and that’s when he saw a door. Sitting high in the sky just beyond the clouds. The servant stood motionless with his eyes locked onto this door in the sky. Suddenly there were heavy footsteps mimicking the sound of someone coming down steps.

This time the faithful servant didn’t bother to ask any of the men if they heard anything. He just yelled out with a loud voice pointing to the sky, “LOOK!” All of the men standing on the rooftop looking up and seeing the door in the sky all dropped their drinks and cigars and fell to the ground and immediately began grabbing their heads and all began screaming repeatedly, “SAVE US JESUS!!!” The faithful servant watched as the door opened and two men came walking out.

The first man that came out wore a robe having a full beard and a head full of hair dressed in all white. The second man that came out was bald with a full beard having on matching colored pants and shirt. The men were still laying on the ground holding their heads and still screaming repeatedly , “SAVE US JESUS!!!” The faithful servant looked up at the two men standing outside of the door in mid air.

The first man wearing all white opened his mouth and spoke saying, “All things are now ready for you.” “You can come now.” Hearing these words from the mouth of the man in white and seeing his hand extended to receive all who would accept it, the faithful servant turned to take one last look at the men who were all still on the ground holding their heads still screaming, “SAVE US JESUS!!!”

The faithful servant turned back around and reached for the hand of the man in white and walked through the open door and that is when the faithful servant woke up from his dream to thank the Lord for another day.

Behold, I am coming like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays awake, keeping his garments on, that he may not go about naked and be seen exposed!” Revelation 16:15 ESV
